How is the PSLE AL aggregate calculated?

The AL aggregate is the sum of the four subject ALs (English, Mother Tongue, Mathematics, Science). Each subject is graded AL 1 (best) to AL 8 (lowest), giving an aggregate range from 4 (perfect) to 32. Lower aggregate = better outcome.

What is the 2024 PSLE AL band scoring rubric?

AL 1 = ≥90 marks; AL 2 = 85–89; AL 3 = 80–84; AL 4 = 75–79; AL 5 = 65–74; AL 6 = 45–64; AL 7 = 20–44; AL 8 = below 20.

How does affiliation work in secondary school admissions?

Pupils from a primary school affiliated with a secondary school may be admitted at an AL aggregate up to 2 points higher than the non-affiliated cut-off. Schools publish a separate affiliated-applicant indicative range.

Are these cut-offs guaranteed?
